Cancer Treatment

Cancer has been a major burden in my life. I have had three family members die from cancer and I can't help but to wonder who is next. I have always been the strong one in my family, but I am tired of watching everyone around me cry and suffer. When is there going to be a cure for cancer or should I say is there ever going to be a cure? I know that radiation treatment is a little effective, but that is not enough for me. I have seen commercials showing the cancer patients that survive, but what about all of those who did not survive? That percentage is much larger. How is it possible that the three members of my family that gets cancer also dies from it? Before my kids have to go through any of this I would like to hire a team of research doctors and focus on finding or creating a drug that cures cancer. I often ask myself, are companies really trying to find a cure for cancer or are they only looking to make money? I am not sure, but I would have to assume that any company that is successful in creating a cure would gain an enormous amount of profit. I don't know what to think, so I would like your opinion on this. Tell me if you think companies are actually trying to find cures or if they are using those not so effective routes to make more money? Thanks for reading.
